You know how there are some Instagram accounts that just bring you joy and laughter? Olga’s has always been a go-to; she is absolutely hilarious with her spot on impersonations — from Androulla and Aunty Fanoulla to all things parenthood and a little bit Greek — she brings actual tears to my eyes. But she’s more than a comedian; a mother of three boys, she’s also an ambassador for @kidscape which supports children, families and professionals with advice and training to prevent bullying — sharing her own experiences at school in this capacity. We are so thrilled to have her here today with this brilliant recommendation. Over to Olga!

‘I love books in particular that have been written by or about outcasts. The curious incident, silver lining. I love books where the protagonist is offbeat but warm. I wanted to tell you about one of my favorite books — Bossy Pants by Tina Fey. I adore this woman her comic genius leaves me with my drooling mouth agape. From her Saturday night live sketches to mean girls she is a powerhouse of wit. Half Greek, she pinpoints so much of my own 80s childhood in this book as she wryly charts her rise to fame. Totally self depreciating and honest I adore her literary wit and style that makes writers like myself feel so at home. One day she had a dream that she would be a comedian on TV; I share that dream. Bossypants is an autobiographical comedy book which topped The New York Times Best Seller list. I love this book, it feels familiar and encouraging and I often reread it. It gives me hope that I (also as a once mullet haired chubby Greek girl) can get her ass on the telly.’
