WRONG PLACE WRONG TIME

When I tell you I couldn’t put this proof down I mean it kept me up until the sun had risen. And yes I did skip to the end half way through to see what happens. Published last Thursday and already a Times bestseller and Observer Thriller of the Month, Gillian Mcallister’s newest novel may just be her best yet.

A heady blend of genres, Wrong Place Wrong Time is a multifaceted fast paced psychological thriller. Our main protagonist is travelling back in time providing an element of fantasy and science fiction, a crime has been committed that she is exploring for all you crime fiction fans and yet there are strong characters and themes of motherhood & guilt (SO relatable), family dynamics and relationships with secrets uncovered. You can see why this would appeal to such a broad spectrum of readers.

I didn’t expect to love this as much as I did, it really made me question what I would do in this scenario and felt very real. Tightly plotted with twists to keep you guessing, @gillianmauthor has such a readable narrative voice, upending the Groundhog Day concept to great affect. The applause and momentum this title is rapidly gaining is with good reason, as much as the focus is on a clever arc she doesn’t lose sight of the people at the heart of her story.

With a dream team behind her of @felicityblunt and @elliehughes85@michaeljbooks this brilliant book has had an equally brilliant campaign, featuring across national press. Huge congrats team, this one was ~ C.
