Insatiable by Daisy Buchanan

We are utterly honoured to have the power house that is @mother_pukka on our grid today. Anna is a force of good in this world whom we just adore, advocating for a range of critical issues from changing the law of flexible working, the rights of parents on leave for births or miscarriages and the gender pay gap. She is also a bundle of joy and fun, you may recognise her dulcet tones from @thisisheart. As well as being a TV presenter (with a new series on @channel4 ) she is a bestselling author who has somehow found the time to write a new highly satirical and humorous novel, Underbelly ~ swipe for the glorious cover.

Released on the 5th August the reviews are already raving, we have pre-ordered our copies and so should you! @thedaisybeeauthor of today’s recommendation felt it captured the lives of women online sharply and accurately – she didn’t want to stop reading this pitch perfect emotive book, I mean how good does that sound?!

Our gorgeous friend explains why she has chosen Insatiable for you today:

“Any book that starts with intense masturbation in the toilets from the female protagonist (Violet) gets an immediate vote. But Insatiable is more than that, it hauls you into the world of deep-rooted loneliness behind the boozy, Bumble-tapping frenzy of being in your 20s. Violet’s mask slips and it’s painful, beautiful and reassuring all at once for any woman – whether you’re a teen, in your 20s or verging on the menopause. I feel my daughters will be reading Daisy’s words in years to come and I’ll be reassured. A true love story for rightfully greedy girls”.
