Notes On A Nervous Planet by Matt Haig
E S S E N T I A L R E A D I N G
Sometimes, a book comes along when you just *need* it. For me, Notes on a Nervous Planet did just that.
This book will make you question how you’re living. You’ll start to wonder if what you’re doing is actually best for you. It will help you strive to be more present, which, in this day and age, could not be more relevant. It will remind you that we are all human and it will make you appreciate the things in your life that you take for granted.
I felt like I absorbed almost all of it when I read it, folding almost every page tenaciously, highlighting and underlining because it’s what I do best. The reality though is, the everyday comes back to get us and sometimes we forget the important lessons we learn, the things we know that will make us feel better and the world feel better for us.
So now I keep it by my bed and try and have a look through once a week at certain parts. It’s my reminder to myself, a way that I can remember the lessons that I know I want to keep learning.

‘The act of wanting things we don’t need makes us feel a lack we didn’t have. Everything you need is here. A human being is complete just being human. We are our own destination’ ~ Matt Haig, Notes on a Nervous Planet
Wishing you all a lovely Bank Holiday
