The Book Of Form and Emptiness by Ruth Ozeki

@THEBIBLIOFILLES X FUTURE DREAMS BOOKCLUB

Hosting our monthly book club for the amazing @futuredreamscharity is *such* a highlight for us. We love getting together with such an inspiring and fun group of women to chat — and laugh — about all things bookish and beyond.

This month’s read was The Book of Form and Emptiness by @ozekiland, which felt quite timely given that it was the winner of 2022’s @womensprize and next week the shortlist for the 2023 prize is being announced. We so enjoyed hearing what everyone thought of this special novel — as well as comparing Chaya’s pristine copy to my own, which though you can’t tell from the photo, looks as if it’s been run over multiple times (to be fair, it did fall in a pool!)

If you or anyone you know has been affected by breast cancer and you think they might enjoy being part of our book club with @futuredreamscharity (once a month but seriously no pressure and is always on zoom as well as in person) please do let us know.

Our next read: Romantic Comedy by Curtis Sittenfeld — we *cannot* wait! ~ S and C
