We are immensely honoured to have been joined by award winning author @sarahwinman today to discuss her new novel, the epic Still Life from @4thestatebooks 

A book that beautifully captures family, friendship and love, we follow our soldier Ulysses and art historian Evelyn from war time Tuscany and the East End of London to the great floods in Florence in the 1960s, through the bonds they make with an array of colourful characters. A moving, sincere novel that transports its reader and gives such access to works of art and history unpretentiously, there is a beating heart that gives moments of sheer joy.

Sarah takes us through the writing process, her inspiration for the book and the similarities between her life and the characters portrayed. Our conversation is spoiler free and we would urge you to buy this if you haven’t already. This is one of our favourite books of the year and we would send a copy to every house in the country if we could.
