Nine Perfect Strangers by Liane Moriarty
STUCK IN THE MIDDLE
We’ve said it before but we will say it again, we *never* post negative reviews. Why? Because ultimately, books are subjective. And so much is pored into each and every one! If we don’t like something, we just don’t review it. Simples.
This time, it’s a little bit different and I guess that’s because I know this is one of those ones that is so well-loved! I mean, it’s only sold about a gadrillion copies worldwide and had been turned into smash hit TV series featuring @nicolekidman. But.
I have to admit, when I first started reading this, I just didn’t like it. At all. Yet there’s something strangely propulsive about it. I wanted to quit but I couldn’t because I feel a massive twist coming and now I’m further in, I desperately want — no, NEED — to know what it is.
I’m not sure how I feel about the characters but what I do know is that there’s something fascinating about the story. I’m now stuck in the middle. Shall I pursue? Let me know what you think. ~ S
