Girl A by Abigail Dean
Girl A, must be one of *the* most talked about novels right now. Normally, we tend to feel quite averse to hugely hyped books but this one, we were desperate to read — so a huge thanks to @phoebeannmorgan and the lovely team at @harpercollinsuk for our copy.
To say we loved this seems almost wrong. A gripping exploration of the impact of a shockingly traumatic upbringing on seven siblings, through Girl A’s eyes, at times, it is completely harrowing. But it is also so much more.
If you were moved by Educated by Tara Westover and Room by Emma Donoghue (and how could you not have been?!) this is one to read. It is tough and it is painful but despite it all, there is hope. For us, it is a triumphant debut from @abigailsdean
